Wood Fire Protection
In today’s construction methods, we rely more
heavily on Timber or Wood for framing, building and storage materials and also
simply to make a more aesthetic space whether in a residential or commercial
building.
As we move to use timber more and more, there
is a greater need for the protection of products from flame spread. For this we
use the 1 KS and 2 KS system, one of our signature fire protection products.
Whether it be an interior or exterior
application, we can stop fire from spreading on wood surfaces.
Our Timber Fire Protection Systems include:
1 KS System is a
transparent Intumescent fire protection coating. The natural surface
of the wooden materials remains visible. 1 KS is an environmentally friendly building
material according to LEED valuation.
Transparent system for indoor use:
· Is a primer for adhesion and if wood is absorbing
· Available in 5kg or 10 kg buckets
HENSOTHERM 1 KS indoor
· Only usable for indoor areas
· Transparent
· Available in 12,5kg or 25kg buckets
HENSOTOP 84 AF
· Topcoat has to be used in connection with 1 KS indoor
because 1 KS indoor is hydroscopic
· Transparent
· Available in 5kg or 10kg buckets
For this system it is essential to use our topcoat HENSOTOP 84
AF in connection with 1 KS indoor. If you apply the topcoat with an
Airless machine, you also need our thinner V84 otherwise you will have stopper
during the application.
Colored system for indoor use:
HOLZGRUND AQ
· Is a primer for adhesion and if wood is absorbing
· Available in 5kg or 10 kg buckets
2 KS indoor
· Only usable for indoor areas
· White covering
· Available in 12,5kg or 25kg buckets
HENSOTOP 84 or HENSOTOP 84
AQ
· Topcoat available in different RAL shades
· Colored system
· Available in 5kg or 10kg buckets
You can apply this material only in closed and dry indoor areas
without topcoat. HENSOTOP 84 is our solvent borne topcoat and HENSOTOP 84
AQ is our water borne topcoat.

system for outdoor use:

2 KS outdoor
· Usable for indoor and outdoor areas
· Grey covering
· Available in 12,5kg or 25kg buckets
HENSOTOP 84 outdoor
· Topcoat available in different RAL shades
· Colored system
· Available in 5kg or 10kg buckets
In outdoor areas you have to apply the topcoat two layers
each 150gr/m².
